He was limping and had no interest in playing; I was seriously considering surgery for Jethro at my vet's recommendation, as she called it, 'the only choice'. He was born in 2016 and around five y/o at 70 pounds was experiencing increasingly elevated pain in his back leg. I was told it was something 'to be expected' to occur in Labradoodles. On top of this, I was watching his little bro', Jagger, grow to 110 pounds and although three years younger, was starting to yip when trying to get up from his bed.

Treating Jethro first was a struggle at first as he is finicky but got used to the nuggets after six months, which was about the same time I noticed improvement, today to the point of trying to run down neighborhood deer and rabbits and back to playing chase with Jagger.

BTW Jagger will eat anything even slightly edible, loves his wuffes and shows slow, but steady improvement as well. These guys keep us sane and warm and want them around and happy as long as possible.
